ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Pittsburgh Lutheran Center for the Blind will hold its
monthly meal for the blind community of Pittsburgh on Saturday,
February 23rd, 2002, from 5 to 7 p.m. After the meal, we'll be taken on a
tactile tour of the sanctuary, during which, we'll be able to feel
such things as the cross, the baptismal font, the chalice, used for
the Lord's supper, and other things.

The dinner will be preceded by a Bible study, at 4 p.m., to
which all are invited! We'll be starting a series on the cults, and
it should be instructive, and edifying.

REMEMBER! ATTENDANCE AT THE DINNER IS BY RESERVATION ONLY!!!
Reservations must be in by Thursday, February 21st. To make yours,
or, if you have any questions, please call me at (412) 682-1800, or
send an e-mail to plcb@firsttrinity.net. Hope to see you there!!!

If you've always wanted to learn Braille,
we'll be starting our class in "Beginner Braille" as soon as we can
get about 4 people enrolled. (We already have 1 interested person.)
If you're also interested, call or e-mail me, and we'll sign you
right up!

If you're a dog guide user, here's a reminder that our dog
guide users' group meets at 3 p.m., on the first Saturday of each
month. THIS GROUP IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY NATIONAL
ORGANIZATION!! Our meetings are always interesting and informative.
We have had many interesting speakers. We are now working on
legislation, which will help those whose dog guides are attacked by
loose or un-controlled dogs. If you're interested, pleas attend our
next meeting, to be held on March 2nd, at 3 p.m.

Wednesday, February 13th, is Ash Wednesday, the start of lent.
As is the custom here at First Trinity Church, we have a soup and
sallad dinner, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. This is
followed by the Divine Service, at 7 p.m. You're all cordially
invited, both to the dinner, and to the service. Just let us know
you're coming, so we'll have enough food for you. Call or e-mail
me.

This website is still a well-kept secret. The thing is,
though, that's not the idea! Therefore, if you like what you see
here, we assume--er--I mean, we hope--that you'll tell everyone you
know about it! Also, we welcome any comments, criticisms or
suggestions you may have. E-mail me at "plcb@firsttrinity.net", or
call (412) 682-1800. God bless all of you!!!
